The Children 1st Dragons’ Glen Scottish Business Challenge kicks off in earnest this October and our Chairman, Mr Brian Gilda, will be supporting the event, acting as a ‘Dragon’ and mentor to the teams.
Dragons’ Glen is a corporate challenge, offering contestants a professional development opportunity whilst raising money to help change the lives of Scotland’s most vulnerable children.
Each team must write a business plan which they will pitch to a panel of Dragons. If successful they must take an initial investment of £500 and turn it into £5000 over a five month period. The teams will compete to develop the most successful business initiative and all proceeds will be donated to Children 1st. The Dragons, a selection of Scotland’s top business people, will mentor the teams throughout their journey.
The five month challenge began with a motivational team session in August and teams will make a formal pitch to the Dragons in October.
Children 1st work with children, young people, their families, communities and other organisations to improve the lives of vulnerable children and young people in Scotland.
